Bitline System now launches Bitline FBG Calculators for the design of optical fiber Bragg gratings (FBG). The software provides powerful tools to analyze and design fiber Bragg gratings. It helps users optimize their grating design quickly, based on their different application requirements.
Features
User can define following parameters in design of a FBG.
- Optical fiber parameters, including fiber core diameter, core refractive index, index delta, center wavelength
- Overlap integral of the transmission mode can be user-defined or program-calculated based on fiber parameters.
- Grating parameters, including grating length, refractive index change DC and AC, linear chirp value and different apodization functions
- Wavelength range for the calculation
The software provides following calculations:
- Reflection calculation, including power spectra (linear and in dB unit), group delay and dispersion spectra
- Transmission calculation, including power spectra (linear and in dB unit), group delay and dispersion spectra
